Taylor Swift’s romance with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and its impact on the N.F.L. has been a hot button issue for much of the 2023-2024 season. While some fans think the pop star gets too much screen time when she attends a game, Howard is all for it — and wants to see her cheer on the Chiefs when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.
“I like when they cut to Taylor Swift … I know what’s going to happen in the football game … let’s see some variables, let’s see how Taylor Swift reacts,” he said Monday morning. “Let’s see if she talks to Patrick Mahomes’ wife, let’s see how she’s getting along with Travis Kelce’s mom, let’s see if Travis Kelce’s brother comes in and starts running around with his shirt off.”
Jon Hein agrees. “I love the Taylor stuff,” the longtime Stern Show staffer noted. “I think it’s great for the game, I think it’s great for her, I think it makes it entertaining, and plus there’s a ton of action on Taylor Swift — there’s prop bets like you wouldn’t believe.”
