Grammy-nominated singer also discusses his career and the L.A. wildfires ahead of Howard 101 special
Before closing out the show on Monday, the Stern Show welcomed on a very special guest — Teddy Swims. In the SiriusXM building for an upcoming Howard 101 special, the Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter discussed his blossoming career with Howard as well as his headline-grabbing performance at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. While some of his fans were upset with the network for airing an abbreviated version of his two-song performance, Swims insisted he didn’t mind.
“When you’re coming up, you take what you can get,” he told Howard. “It got me on the Howard Stern Show, so I can’t be too upset.”

The Georgia native, who now resides in Los Angeles, took time out to reflect on the harrowing wildfires decimating his adoptive city. “We were okay in the Valley, but it’s definitely been tough. I know a couple of people who lost everything to [the fires],” he revealed. “What’s been beautiful about the situation, though, is you see a tragedy happening that affects all of us and people really tend to come together and I think it shows the inherent goodness of humanity.”
Despite residing across the country, home never feels far away for Swims thanks to bandmates Jesse Hampton and Jairus Hodge, who joined him Monday in the Stern Show studio. “I’ve known these guys my whole life,” Teddy said. “I could never get away from [them].”

Staffer takes a photo with the comedian and repeat Stern Show guest while tailgating
The Philadelphia Eagles will play in the Super Bowl for the second time in three years thanks to a strong running game, a dominant defense, and … Wolfie’s lucky helmet?
The Stern Show staffer and his colleague Richard Christy went on the air Monday and told listeners what it was like to attend the NFC Championship Game, in which the Eagles thumped the visiting Washington Commanders 55 to 23 and earned a chance to play the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX next month. While most sports experts credit the team and its coach with the big victory, Wolfie was quick to point out that he did his part, too, by wearing a full Eagles uniform and vintage football helmet.
“Howard, this helmet is lucky. The Eagles have not lost an NFC Championship game when I wear [it],” he said before explaining that his helmet also helped him meet beloved comedian and well-known Eagles fan Kevin Hart, who was tailgating at the game and waved Wolfie over after getting a look at him in his getup. “Kevin was like … ‘Let him in, I love the helmet,’” Wolfie recalled.
For as much good fortune as Wolfie’s helmet brought his team, it couldn’t help much with his bladder during the raucous tailgate party. “It was crazy out there,” he said, adding, “People … just shit and piss in [a] bucket. I broke down at one point and had to go — the piss is just spilling over the top of the bucket. It’s that full.”
