“This is our first day broadcasting on Andy 100,” the entertainer tells listeners
Howard and co-host Robin Quivers returned to the airwaves Monday morning to set the record straight, but before doing so they handed SiriusXM Channel 100 over to Bravo star, Radio Andy host, and longtime friend of the show Andy Cohen. Cohen and his “Andy Cohen Live” co-host John Hill played an epic prank on listeners as they took control of Howard 100 while pretending to have inherited a canceled Howard Stern Show.
“Good morning, everybody. This is, I know, not the voice that you expected to hear. This is not the voice that you probably wanted to hear, but it is I, Andy Cohen, and this is our first day broadcasting on Andy 100,” Cohen began. “I know that you’re expecting a big announcement from Howard … I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say except he’s not here and I am.”
“How does it feel?” Hill asked Andy.
“I have to say, I fantasized for years about sitting in this chair. This is not how I thought this would go down,” Cohen answered, adding, “I just want all of Howard’s fans to know you will have a home on Andy 100.”
The prank continued for several minutes as Andy and his co-host fielded a few calls, reassured listeners there’d still be plenty of “Real Housewives” talk, and even announced Andy 100’s very first celebrity guest: Patti LuPone. “Much like Howard, she doesn’t give a fuck,” Andy laughed of the legendary Broadway star.
