VIDEO: Mariann From Brooklyn Shares Screen With Timothée Chalamet in ‘Marty Supreme’
“She’s really good in it,” Howard tells co-host Robin Quivers
January 7, 2026Mariann from Brooklyn may soon have to change her name to Mariann from Hollywood.
As Howard revealed on Monday, the longtime caller and friend of the show has a substantial part in the critically acclaimed new film “Marty Supreme,” which stars Timothée Chalamet, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Tyler, the Creator, among others.
“The very first scene [has] Mariann from Brooklyn,” Howard told his listeners. “And she’s really good in it.”
“Really?” co-host Robin Quivers marveled.
“Excellent,” Howard responded.
Phoning into the show to discuss her big-screen debut, Mariann told Howard she was offered the part of a shoe store customer by director Josh Safdie, who is “a big fan of the [Stern] Show.” She then went on to do a 12-hour shoot with Chalamet, who plays an aspiring table tennis champion named Marty Mauser.
With the success of “Mary Supreme” — nominated for Best Motion Picture at this weekend’s Golden Globes — Howard couldn’t help but wonder how far Mariann’s star might rise. “What if [next] you see her on ‘White Lotus’?” he laughed.
