‘Walking Dead’ Villain Gets Middle Finger From Angry 80-Year-Old Fan
The octogernarian also cursed at Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan on AMC's zombie series
October 14, 2016Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan holds all the cards as the villain Negan on AMC’s”The Walking Dead,” but in real life he’s at the mercy of angry octogenarians, just like everyone else.
Morgan recently shared a story of an 80-year-old “Walking Dead” fan who lashed out against him because she didn’t like the way his evil character was treating the good guys. Morgan claimed the fan gave him the middle finger and cursed at him.
“I was with [co-star] Norman [Reedus],” Morgan told EW. “I spend a lot of time with Norman because he lives in Georgia … We had been riding motorcycles all day and we were in the middle of nowhere and stopped to get a coffee. And this lady is at our car, and she’s probably 80 years old, and she comes up and just flips me off and says ‘Fuck you!'”
Season 6 of the zombie drama ended on a brutal cliffhanger — Negan had bludgeoned a mystery character with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat named Lucille. With Season 7 kicking off later this month – and the identity of his mystery victim soon to be revealed – Morgan knows he may find himself once again on the business end of “The Walking Dead’s” fans’ ire.
“We’ll see what happens after the first episode airs,” he told EW. “I’m not convinced that my life is going to be totally awesome”
“The Walking Dead” returns to AMC for Season 7 on Sunday at 9 p.m.
