Peace and Love: Oct. 20 Marks Anniversary of Ringo Starr’s Deadline For ‘No More Fan Mail’

In 2008 Beatles drummer Ringo Starr decided he had had enough and could no longer take the pressure of accepting fan mail. In a “serious message to everybody watching” he informed fans with “peace and love” that after the 20th of October no more fan mail or objects would be signed – in fact anything sent to his address would be tossed in the garbage. “I’m warning you with peace and love, I have too much to do,” he told his fanbase.
