If you find your areolas cover more ground than you’d like, you’re not alone.

The Plastic Surgery Group in Britain has published its predictions for cosmetic trends in 2017 and the biggest one is pretty unexpected. According to the report, requesting smaller nipples is a big thing among women now.

“We have seen a 30 percent rise in women requesting a smaller nipple size in the last year,” says Plastic Surgery Group consultant surgeon Mo Akhavani, according to Cosmopolitan. “We found that patients with smaller-sized nipples rated high in attractiveness than those with larger nipples.”

Dr. Akhavani said the nipple trend is thanks, in part, to a slender aesthetic very prominent on social media. “The new body look now is the ultra-toned, shredded athletic type—just look at Instagram and see how many thousands of women add photos of them doing weights, etc. Smaller nipples and implants complement this new trend of a lean body.”
