Directed by Andrés Muschietti and adapted from one of Stephen King’s most beloved novels, “It” tells the story of a group of children in Maine who band together to fight Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård), an evil clown wreaking havoc on their small town. Though a sequel had been previously announced, plot details as well as the character JD might potentially play are both unknown.
In addition to producing “It,” Grahame-Smith is the best-selling author of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” and one of the screenwriters behind the recent “Lego Batman” film. He’s also credited as the script writer for the in-development “Beetlejuice 2,” though it’s unclear if he plans to cast the Wack Packer of the same name.
“It” hits theaters Sept. 8. Check out the latest trailer (below).
