Watch Lady Gaga and Metallica Rehearse Their 2017 Grammys ‘Moth Into Flame’ Performance

New footage shows the preparation that went into their televised rock collaboration

August 28, 2017

New rehearsal footage of Lady Gaga and Metallica practicing for their performance at the 2017 Grammys has been released, showing fans just how much preparation went into that televised routine.

“This is so exciting for me,” Gaga says to members of the band in the video (above) that was released on Metallica’s YouTube channel on Friday.

The two music acts came together on this year’s Grammys to rock out to the heavy metal band’s hit song “Moth Into Flame” but during their performance on the actual award ceremony, frontman James Hetfield’s mic failed, leaving him unheard by both the audience watching at home and in person at the Staples Center.

In March, Metallica also released footage of their pre-show run-through with Gaga that went off without an issue. Check that video out (below).
