VIDEO: ‘Narcos’ Bad Lip Reading Shows Pablo Escobar’s Softer Side

Pablo Escobar wears several hats (sometimes literally) in “Soy Pablo,” a recently published “bad lip reading” imagining Netflix’s hit show “Narcos.”
Published Wednesday to Bad Lip Reading’s YouTube channel, the eight-minute video recuts a multitude of footage from Wagner Moura’s Golden Globe-nominated portrayal of real-life cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar and casts his character in a brand-new light.
Instead of a heartless drug lord, this version of Pablo is an undercover agent (with porpoise tattoos). He’s also a family man, a pineapple aficionado, an enthusiastic yet untalented singer, and even, apparently, a surrealist photographer.
In addition to being funny in its own right, the Pablo Escobar-focused Bad Lip Reading video should be a treat for fans of the character who were disappointed to witness his downfall on Season 2 of “Narcos.”
