VIDEO: Harley Quinn Says ‘Hit ‘Em With the Hein’ in New ‘Batman: The Enemy Within’ Game

DC Comics villain previously sported the Stern Show-inspired slogan on a “Suicide Squad” cover

Batman villain Harley Quinn is taking her Stern Show shout-outs to the next level.

In “Batman: The Enemy Within,” the latest chapter of Telltale’s popular graphic adventure video game, the DC Comics character drops a “Hit ‘em with the Hein” at the end of a motivational speech she delivers to her henchmen.

It’s not the first time the Caped Crusader’s crazed foe has been associated with the phrase, either. She was also seen sporting a “Hit ‘em With the Hein” T-shirt last October on a “Suicide Squad” comic book cover drawn by legendary artist and longtime Howard Stern superfan Jim Lee.

During an appearance last year on the Wrap Up Show, he explained his decision to include the Jon Hein-inspired catchphrase in his work. “It has energy to it, it can be used in multiple ways,” Lee told co-hosts Hein and Gary Dell’Abate.

Telltale, which has also produced hits games based on “The Walking Dead” and “Game of Thrones,” confirmed the in-game reference to both the Stern Show and Lee’s comic cover was intentional, according to an IGN report.

Telltale isn’t the first video game company to release a game with Howard-related easter eggs, however. MLB The Show 17, a baseball video game in March, is filled with Stern Show shout-outs, including “Baba Booey” bombs and a baseball player resembling staffer JD Harmeyer

Check out a video compilation of those MLB The Show 17 easter eggs (below) and catch Harley Quinn’s “Hit ’em With the Hein” at around the 33:25 mark in the “Batman: The Enemy Within” video (above).
