Marvel's upcoming superhero sequel hits theaters on June 1

Ryan Reynolds parodies Bob Ross in the newly released, painting-themed debut teaser for “Deadpool 2.”

The video (above) revolves around a sketch in which the N.S.F.W. Marvel superhero Deadpool (Reynolds), a.k.a. Wade Wilson, parodies Ross’s infamous art show “The Joy of Painting.” Donning white overalls and a Ross-inspired afro wig, Deadpool cracks jokes about cocaine while creating scenic landscapes with colors like “Yellow Snow” and “Betty White.”

The gag, titled “Getting Wet on Wet with Deadpool,” goes on for quite some time before finally getting to an action-filled “Deadpool 2” montage which includes everything from chainsaws and caskets to a middle finger from Deadpool’s sidekick Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand).

When Deadpool finally finishes his masterpiece it’s revealed to be a dinner portrait of the “Deadpool 2” cast, which Reynolds has also shared on Twitter:

“Deadpool 2” also stars newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable, as well as returning favorites Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, and Stefan Kapicic. While the plot for the film has mostly been kept under wraps, 20th Century Fox has provided a tongue-in-cheek synopsis on the teaser trailer’s YouTube page:

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover. “

“Deadpool 2” hits theaters June 1, 2018. Watch the teaser (above).
