Finn Jones stars on the superhero series, debuting March 17

Danny Rand (Finn Jones) puts magic and martial artistry to good use in the official trailer for “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” which Netflix dropped on Tuesday.

The opening scenes show Danny returning home to New York, after 15 years of being presumed dead, and quickly coming face-to-face with his destiny. He acquired impressive fighting skills during his time away, however, which are put to the the test by criminals who infiltrated his old neighborhood.

“Iron Fist” is the fourth Netflix-Marvel series—following “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Luke Cage“—and the final piece of the puzzle to be laid down before all four titular superheroes team up later this year on Netflix’s upcoming “Defenders” series.

The tie that binds so far has been a nurse named Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), who has come to assist her super-powered friends on each series. Temple’s back again on “Iron Fist” to help Danny battle the forces of evil: “I know who they are, what they can do. To fight them, we need someone with special skills,” Claire tells him in the trailer.

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” hits Netflix on March 17.
