Coulrophobia sufferers, beware: Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for “It” on Wednesday and it’s chock-full of clown-related nightmare fuel.

The latest adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 horror tome follows a group of children forced to face off against an evil, child-snatching clown named Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) who has been straight-up murdering folks in their small Maine town for centuries.

Andres Muschietti (“Mama”) directed the film, which also stars a slew of child actors, including Finn Wolfhard of “Stranger Things.”

Though it’s labeled a “teaser,” the highly-anticipated first look is over two-minutes long and jam-packed with haunting moments and terrifying imagery, including a little boy looking into a sewer only to find Pennywise staring back out at him.

“It” floats into theaters Sept. 8. Check out the trailer (above).
