VIDEO: Man Identifies Self as ‘Fred Norris’ and Hits Local News Report ‘With the Hein’

A Stern Fan adds a twist to on-camera comments about a gas tax

May 17, 2017

A Stern Show fan has upped the ante for subtlety.

During a recent news report on a proposed California gas tax, KMIR Palm Springs interviewed an apparent Stern Show fan who identified himself as “Fred Norris.”

When asked about the tax, “Fred” managed to work in a Stern Show shout-out. “As a commuter, I’m against it because we’re paying too much, we’re getting hit in the Hein with all this stuff,” he told the reporter.

The two Stern Show references in the span of 10 seconds flew completely under the radar of the KMIR reporter, who proceeded with her report.
