Those who thought Jordan Peele’s critically acclaimed film “Get Out” felt like a feature-length “Twilight Zone” episode might have been onto something.

CBS All Access has revealed Peele will host and narrate its 2019 reboot of the legendary sci-fi series, which ran for 80 episodes in the late ‘50s and early ‘60s. The actor, director, and Oscar-winning writer will step into series creator Rod Serling’s shoes, serving both as host and executive producer.

The network also released a black-and-white teaser which utilizes both Peele and Serling’s voices to deliver a new rendition of the classic anthology show’s famed opening lines: “You are traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind,” Peele and Serling say (above). “A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the sign post up ahead. Your next stop, the Twilight Zone!”

Peele, who also stars as the ghost of Duke Ellington on Nick Kroll’s “Big Mouth,” delivered a statement about the new series: “Rod Serling was an uncompromising visionary who not only shed light on social issues of his time, but prophesied issues of ours. I’m honored to carry on his legacy to a new generation of audiences as the gatekeeper of ‘The Twilight Zone.’”
