Alien hunters have landed on Earth and they just might kill everyone in the official trailer for “The Predator,” the latest installment of the Arnold Schwarzenegger-birthed sci-fi horror franchise hitting theaters in September.

Set between the events of “Predator 2” and 2010’s “Predators,” the film’s newly released trailer (above) begins with Jacob Tremblay (the 11-year-old star of “Room”) unearthing advanced alien technology in his garage, which unwittingly sends an alien ship crashing down to Earth. One thing leads to another and the fierce and deadly alien visitors start slicing, dicing, maiming, and mauling anything they encounter. Soon enough the only thing standing between mankind and its extinction are a Special Forces commander (“Narcos” star Boyd Holbrook), a government agent (“This Is Us” star Sterling K. Brown), and a science teacher (Wrap Up Show veteran Olivia Munn) who has uncovered the alien hunters’ true motivations.

“I think they’re attempting hybridization. They’re upgrading on every planet they visit,” Munn’s character explains in the trailer (above).

“The Predator” is directed by Shane Black, the filmmaker who co-starred alongside Schwarzenegger and fellow Stern Show guest Jessie Ventura in the 1987 original before going on to write “Lethal Weapon” and direct blockbusters like “Iron Man 3” and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s upcoming superhero flick “Doc Savage.”

“The Predator,” co-starring Jake Busey, Edward James Olmos, Thomas Jane, and Keegan-Michael Key, opens Sept. 14. Watch the official trailer (above).
