2018 Emmy Nominations: 'Game of Thrones' Slays the Competition With 22 Nods

Trailing close behind are “Saturday Night Live” and “Westworld” with 21 each

The 70th annual Primetime Emmy nominations were unveiled Thursday morning and HBO’s dragons, zombies, and swords drama “Game of Thrones” slew the most nods with 22. HBO’s robots-in-disguise drama “Westworld” and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” came in a close second with each receiving 21 nominations.

Coincidentally, “SNL: Weekend Update” anchors Michael Che and Colin Jost will also be hosting the 2018 Emmys, broadcast Sept. 17 from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on NBC.

Other shows, limited series, and actors receiving nominations include Millie Bobby Brown on “Stranger Things,” Alec Baldwin on “SNL,” Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore’s “This Is Us,” Bill Hader on “Barry,” Larry David and J.B. Smoove's “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Jason Bateman on “Ozark,” Jeff Daniels and Baldwin's “The Looming Tower,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Sarah Silverman's “I Love You, America,” and many, many more.
