VIDEO: Alec Baldwin and Salma Hayek Play a Booze-Loving Broke Couple in ‘Drunk Parents’ Trailer

Upcoming comedy co-stars Joe Manganiello and Stern Show veteran Jim Gaffigan

January 25, 2019

Alcohol consumption leads to a series of very bad decisions for Salma Hayek and Stern Show regular Alec Baldwin in the new trailer for their upcoming comedy “Drunk Parents.”

The actors play Frank and Nancy Teagarten—a broke, booze-loving couple caught in a downward spiral after realizing they can’t afford to pay their daughter’s college tuition bill. Hoping to keep their dire financial situation secret from their kid and pesky neighbors, they make one regrettable choice after another starting with a yard sale and ending, perhaps, with police intervention.

Directed and co-written by Fred Wolf — the filmmaker behind Chris Farley’s “Black Sheep,” David Spade’s “Joe Dirt,” and Adam Sandler and Chris Rock’s “Grown Ups” — “Drunk Parents” co-stars Ben Platt, Michelle Veintimilla, Joe Manganiello, and Stern Show veteran Jim Gaffigan, the last of whom plays an extra-creepy guy next door.

“As your new neighbor, I’m legally required to tell you I’m a registered sex offender,” Gaffigan’s character tells Alec and Salma.

“Come again,” Baldwin replies, stepping right into the pun.

Alec has visited the Stern Show numerous times over the years. During his last visit in 2018, the award-winning actor opened up to Howard all about what it’s really like to be a parent. Listen to a clip from the interview (below).

“Drunk Parents” arrives in theaters April 19.
