Selina Meyer still has her sights set on the White House and will say just about anything to get herself back there.

HBO released the official trailer for the final season of “Veep” on President’s Day which shows Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s caustic character getting candid about how she really feels about representing the American people.

The clip (above) begins with Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus) aboard a plane as she and her staff try to nail down the fine points of an upcoming campaign speech. “I’m not sure at this part where it says I want to be president for all Americans,” she tells her staff. “I mean, do I? You know, all of them?”

Her disdain extends to her often bumbling team, too, which include “Arrested Development’s” Tony Hale, “Halt and Catch Fire’s” Anna Chlumsky, and “Venom’s” Reid Scott. They want her to put on a friendlier face for her future constituents, but she’s not having it. “This entire country is getting more disgusting by the second,” she tells them.

One thing President Meyer does show concern for, however, is her legacy. “I was a game changer,” she tells her assistant Gary (Hale). “I took a dump on the glass ceiling, and I shaved my muff in the sink of the old boys’ club.”

The Emmy-winning actress and former “Seinfeld” star posted the new “Veep” clip to Twitter this week along with a special nonpartisan President’s Day message. Check it out (below).

“Veep” Season 7, also starring Wrap Up Show veteran Timothy Simons, returns March 31 on HBO.
