VIDEO: Linda Hamilton and Mackenzie Davis Unleash Hell on Humanity-Hating Cyborgs in First ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Teaser

Sci-fi action sequel also features the return of Stern Show guest Arnold Schwarzenegger

The only thing standing between mankind and the robot apocalypse is Linda Hamilton and her bazooka in the first teaser trailer for “Terminator: Dark Fate,” blasting its way into theaters in November.

Set over 20 years after the events of 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgement Day,” the sci-fi action franchise’s upcoming installment follows Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) and her half-human, half-machine protector Grace (Mackenzie Davis) as they evade yet another high-tech Terminator (Gabriel Luna) sent from the future to wipe them out and ensure humanity’s destruction.

Thankfully, mankind once again has the indomitable Sarah Connor fighting on its side with Hamilton reprising her iconic role onscreen for the first time since “T2.” She brought backup, too, like a heavy arsenal and a reprogrammed T-800 model Terminator played once again by franchise stalwart and repeat Stern Show guest Arnold Schwarzenegger.

“How do we win?” Reyes’s character wonders in the trailer amid a montage of explosions, mayhem, and jumbo jets colliding mid-air.

“We win by keeping you alive,” Davis tells her.

“Terminator: Dark Fate” is directed by Tim Miller (“Deadpool”) and written by David S. Goyer (“The Dark Knight”) and “Terminator” creator James Cameron himself, among others. Cameron also returns to the franchise as a producer for the first time since “T2.”

When Arnold joined the Stern Show in 2015, the actor and former California governor opened up to Howard about how he landed his career-defining part in “The Terminator.” As it turned out, Arnold had auditioned to play the film’s human hero but Cameron eventually talked him into embracing the robot villain role instead. Listen to more from Howard and Arnold’s conversation (below).

“Terminator: Dark Fate” opens Nov. 1.
