VIDEO: Paul Rudd Comes Face-to-Face With His Doppelgänger in ‘Living With Yourself’ Trailer

8-episode existential comedy debuts Oct. 18 on Netflix

September 16, 2019

Paul Rudd wakes up in the middle of the night to discover Paul Rudd has broken into his house in the official trailer for “Living With Yourself,” a dark comedy coming to Netflix in October.

The “Ant-Man” actor and past Stern Show guest stars as Miles Elliott, a malcontent who undergoes a bizarre and expensive spa treatment in the hopes of finding some happiness. Instead of becoming a better person, however, he literally gets replaced by a better version of himself.

“I woke up in a spa, went to work, and came home,” the new Miles says after confronting his old self (above).

“I woke up in a grave, and then I walked for six hours to find whatever the fuck you are,” the old Miles responds.

Told from multiple perspectives and intersecting storylines, the eight-episode series co-stars Irish actress-comedian Aisling Bea as Paul(s’) love interest and was created by Timothy Greenberg, the Emmy and Peabody-winning executive producer of “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”

When Rudd visited the Stern Show in 2015 shortly after the release of his original “Ant-Man” film, the actor didn’t have anything to say about running into his own doppelgänger. He did, however, speak to Howard about a memorable run-in he had with the now-deceased Marvel legend Stan Lee. “He’s amazing. Like, sharp as a tack. Really funny,” Paul recalled for Howard.

Listen to a clip from their conversation (below).
