A Mexican drug cartel is splintering while the D.E.A. grows thirsty for revenge in the official trailer for “Narcos: Mexico” Season 2, returning in February.

Set in the mid1980s and based on a true story, Netflix’s critically acclaimed crime-drama follows the powerful Guadalajara cartel run by Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna). As the second season picks up, a civil war is brewing within Gallardo’s enormous empire and external forces threaten to take him down.

“The Colombians are no longer in charge. It’s my turn. The Americans can try to stop us, but they will fail,” Luna’s character says in the action-packed trailer (above) filled with sex, drugs, kidnappings, drugs, violence, drugs, and even a tiger.

One of the cartel’s biggest threats is a U.S. government task force nicknamed Operation Leyenda, led by dogged D.E.A. agent Walt Breslin (Scoot McNairy) who appears hellbent on exacting revenge against Gallardo for the Season 1 death of a fellow D.E.A. agent (Michael Peña).

“Narcos: Mexico” Season 2 premieres Feb. 13 on Netflix.
