VIDEO: Jerry Seinfeld Jokes About Supervillains and Bathroom Stalls in Trailer for Stand-Up Special ‘23 Hours to Kill’

Comedy legend’s new Netflix offering arrives on May 5

Legendary funnyman Jerry Seinfeld puts his life on the line in the first trailer for his all-new stand-up special “23 Hours to Kill,” hitting Netflix next month.

The clip begins with the repeat Stern Show guest strapped to a table in a supervillain’s lair which doubles as a comedy club’s dressing room. He’s dressed like super spy James Bond and facing off against a villain named Blowfish who’s equipped with a deadly laser.

Jerry eventually finds his way to the stage, however, where he unleashes the brand of observational humor his fans have come to love. “Who designed the bathroom stall with the under-display viewing window?” he laments (above). “How much more money is it to bring this wall down another foot?”

Filmed at the Beacon Theater in New York City, “23 Hours to Kill” promises to deliver on a variety of topics ranging from talking vs. texting to the magic of Pop Tarts. The hour-long special is the comedian’s second stand-up effort for Netflix, following 2017’s much anticipated return “Jerry Before Seinfeld.”

When Jerry sat down with Howard in September of that same year, he spoke about everything from why a “Seinfeld” reunion isn’t likely to how his hit interview series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” made its way to Netflix. He also opened up about how seeing a live set from fellow Stern Show veteran Chris Rock affected his own return to stand-up comedy. “I sat there, I laughed the whole hour and I went, ‘That was an incredible experience he just gave us,’” Jerry told Howard. “I had never had the experience of going to see a comedian and having them make you laugh for an hour.”

“Jerry Seinfeld: 23 Hours to Kill” debuts May 5 on Netflix.
