Foo Fighters Get Animated in Trippy ‘Chasing Birds’ Music Video

Song appears on Stern Show veterans’ recent album “Medicine at Midnight”

Dave Grohl and his bandmates get the cartoon treatment in the animated music video for “Chasing Birds,” a slow burning-song off Foo Fighters’ new album “Medicine at Midnight.”

Released on 4/20, the colorful clip (above) sees animated versions of the band rocking out in the desert while quite possibly tripping on psychedelics. Dave and the boys’ imaginations eventually get the best of them as they envision losing their heads and limbs, dangling from a stalactite in a creepy cave, and even getting swallowed up by the desert itself. The band finally crawls out of its imaginary prison, however, and the video ends with Grohl taking a nice, cool sip of water.

“Chasing Birds” is just the latest release from “Medicine at Midnight,” which the band stopped by the Stern Show to promote in February. As fans will remember, the visit was one for the ages. Not only did the guys open up about everything from their recent Rock Hall nomination to the time Prince Harry slapped drummer Taylor Hawkins, but they also put on a concert for Howard and his listeners.
