Recent “A Star Is Born” star Bradley Cooper stars as the real-life producer of “A Star Is Born” in the trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s star-studded November drama “Licorice Pizza.”

The 1970s-set film follows Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman), a high school student with hopes of becoming both an actor and romantically entwined with an older woman played by Haim rocker Alana Haim.

Cooper, meanwhile, plays Jon Peters, a Hollywood big shot who dated Barbra Streisand and produced a slate of films ranging from “Batman” and “Caddyshack II” to “A Star Is Born” (1976) and “A Star Is Born” (2018). In the trailer, he offers Gary some advice on enunciation.

“Do you know who my girlfriend is?” Cooper asks Hoffman. “It’s Barbra Strei-sand. Like sand. Like the ocean.”

“Licorice Pizza” serves as the big screen debut for Hoffman, the son of late Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. Written by Anderson, the film also stars recent Stern Show guest Sean Penn, “SNL” standout Maya Rudolph, singer Tom Waits, and “Uncut Gems” director Benny Safdie.

“Licorice Pizza” debuts Nov. 26.
