Anthony Kiedis Runs From the Cops in Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘These Are the Ways’ Music Video

Song appears on the beloved rock act’s April 1 album “Unlimited Love”

April 1, 2022

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis leads the police on a low-speed chase in the music video for “These Are the Ways,” a track off the band’s new album “Unlimited Love.”

The Malia James-directed clip begins with Kiedis driving up to a convenience store so he can steal food for him and his pregnant love interest. The cops pop in at exactly the wrong time, however, which leads first to a car chase and then to a foot race as the lead singer runs all over town trying to shake his tail, interrupting house parties, birthday celebrations, and a woman vacuuming in the process.

“Unlimited Love” is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 12th studio album and follows 2016’s “The Getaway.” It serves as the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers’ first record with celebrated guitarist John Frusciante since the bands’ multi-platinum 2006 effort, “Stadium Arcadium.” “These Are the Ways” is the second release off “Unlimited Love,” which boasts 17 tracks in total and arrived Friday. The album’s lead single “Black Summer” dropped in early February.
