Actress Suzanne Somers, best known for her role on the iconic sitcom “Three’s Company” and later for her memorable infomercials for the ThighMaster, has died. She was 76.

On Monday, Howard and co-host Robin Quivers paused to remember Somers, who in the 1990s also starred on ABC’s “Step by Step” as part of their TGIF lineup.

“That hit me hard this morning,” Robin admitted of hearing the news about the actress, who had multiple Stern Show appearances — usually with her husband of 42 years, television host Alan Hamel.

“They had a great marriage,” Howard said of the couple.

Somers had a memorable run as Chrissy Snow on “Three’s Company” that was cut short when she was let go from her contract after asking to receive the same compensation as male co-star John Ritter. “Damn right she should have,” Howard agreed, noting Somers’ contributions to the show’s success.

Howard went on to praise Somers, who was also a popular fitness spokesperson and advocate. “I really liked her,” he noted. “She was very kind to us and to our show.”

“And she influenced a lot of people over the course of her life in her health regimes,” Robin recalled.
