Howard and co-host Robin Quivers reunited in the studio on Wednesday for a moving Stern Show celebrating the life and careers of several recently deceased musicians ranging from Burt Bacharach to Sinéad O’Connor.  The festivities began with an all-new “Great American Nightmare” medley, featuring late-great icons like Tina Turner, David Crosby, Rudolph Isley, and Harry Belafonte.

“That was some intro to the show, huh? That was our tribute to a lot of musicians who passed away recently … all mashed with Rob Zombie’s [song],” Howard said.

“What we’re gonna do the rest of the morning is we’re gonna remember some more people,” he continued, explaining fans could expect more tributes from Adam Levine, Charlie Puth, and Maren Morris as well as Dave Matthews, who honored the “Margaritaville” man himself Jimmy Buffett by visiting the Stern Show studio and delivering a wholehearted rendition of Buffett’s bittersweet ballad “A Pirate Looks at Forty.”
