Howard hasn’t had much interest in drugs over the past few decades, but now that New York has legalized cannabis he couldn’t help but wonder if it was time to give marijuana another try. “The idea of getting weed now that has been chemically balanced seems intriguing to me, but the bottom line is that I hate being high,” he told listeners on Wednesday.
Naturally, the Stern Show staff had a variety of opinions on the matter:
“I think the right thing for you to do is like a gummy, where you can kind of dose yourself slowly,” Derek Jones said.
His colleague Jason Kaplan disagreed. “I don’t recommend the gummies for you to start … if you take a gummy, it could go on for hours.”
“What I suggest for you, actually, is these weed seltzers,” staffer JD Harmeyer added.
Ronnie “the Limo Driver” Mund, meanwhile, recommended Howard consult an expert at a marijuana dispensary to ensure he gets just the right kind of high.
But his puppet counterpart was far less discerning. “Dude I’m smoking all fucking day, man,” the Ronnie Puppet announced with a fake joint in its mouth and smoke emanating from its ears.
“The studio looks like we’re in the bottom of a bong right now,” Derek joked as smoke filled the room.
