“It was insensitive, and it was stupid, and I apologize,” the Stern Show co-host says

It was with peace and love that Robin Ophelia Quivers issued an apology this week after inadvertently and incorrectly informing listeners that Oscar and Tony-winning actress Dame Judi Dench had passed away. The illustrious, irreplaceable star of “Shakespeare in Love,” “Notes on a Scandal,” “Philomena,” and countless other classics is of course very much alive, so for her reporting error Ms. Quivers apologized.

“To Dame Judi Dench and her family,” the Stern Show co-host began, “It was insensitive, and it was stupid, and I apologize for giving out erroneous information that affect her friends and her family, and I am very deeply sorry.

“I’m proud of you,” Howard responded.

Long live Dame Judi Dench.
