Baseball is a game of balls and strikes, but on Wednesday Howard made an astute observation about what happens on those rare occasions when a major league player gets a strike to their own, well, you know.
“The announcers will never just say, ‘Hey, that guy got hit in the nuts’ — they dance around it,” Howard laughed before playing a montage of clips with announcers spewing various testicular torment euphemisms ranging from getting hit “below the equator” to “a suburb south of the stomach.”
Using his best announcer voice, Howard gave it a go himself: “He took a foul ball right into his foul balls, if you understand what I’m implying,” he told co-host Robin Quivers with a laugh.
