MORE FUN WITH AMPUTEES

The fourth contestant was a woman named Deena who was missing her left leg. She too lost it to bone cancer. She showed off her stump and Chaunce thought it looked hot. The last contestant was a woman named Angela who lost her leg when she was 22 and in a car accident. She also ended up losing one of her fingers in the accident. The bigger tragedy though was that her dad left her mom for a younger woman and kept all of the insurance money that was supposed to be for Angela’s prosthetic leg. She said he ended up keeping around $20,000 and now she can’t afford to get herself a newer, more comfortable fake leg. Artie “wah wah’ed” her for that story too. Gary said the voting was very close, and the winner only won by 1 point. The winner was?..Jennifer!!! Jennifer said it was worth losing her hand for the $10,000 and was very excited! The other contestants all ended up getting consolation prizes also so they were all winners in some sense. Howard then stunned everyone by saying he was so moved by Angela’s story he would pay for her to get a new leg. Robin was really taken aback by Howard’s generosity and said she was really, really impressed by it. A few minutes later though, a guy named Mark Goldberg called in and said he would give Angela the prosthetic for free since he runs a prosthetics lab. Howard was relieved that he wouldn’t have to pay for her leg, but then Robin started accusing Howard of knowing this guy was on the phone when he made his generous statement. Howard swore vigorously that was not case. Either way, it looks like Angela is getting a new leg thanks to the show.
