Jim Breuer Stops by the Stern Show
Comedian discusses time at “SNL” and does some impressions
Comedian Jim Breuer came in today to promote his daily, two-hour, comedy show on SIRIUS’ Raw Dog comedy channel.
Right away, Jim ripped into Artie asking him what the hell he was thinking. Jim did demonic impressions of the scumbags that hang around trying to convince people in show business to sign deals with them. He said Artie just got wooed by the savages, once he leave Howard’s side, he’ll get all these offers, “You’re so much funnier than you’re portrayed on the show.” “There must me so much more to you than what’s out there.” “Artie, you’re going to make your own movie!” He said they start to drop names on you like, “We could get Bob Saget to direct.”
Jim said working at “Saturday Night Live” was horrible and they hated him because he did an interview once where he said people at “SNL” are backstabbers and would steal ideas all the time. Jim said he had to bully David Spade before they became friends at “SNL.” Spade would allegedly take shots at Jim in front of people all the time, saying he was the new idiot on the show, until one day, Jim threatened to punch him in the face. After that, they were cool.
Jim tried reminding Artie what a good gig he has at the show and to not be an idiot and do this movie. Jim did his impression of Brian Johnson of AC/DC against Artie. They traded off lines in “For Those About to Rock” and it was hard to tell which one was the better Brian. Jim also did dead-on impressions of Ozzy Osbourne, Joe Pesci, Rob Halford from Judas Priest, James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich from Metallica.
