Time Passes Slowly

Howard brought up that he watched some of the new Bob Dylan documentary, “No Direction Home,” but that he could only sit through a little bit of it because it was so boring. Howard noted that he thinks Bob is an interesting guy and a great interview, but that the film went nowhere.

Howard said he was most interested in learning about what it was like for Bob growing up in Minnesota and how he dealt with anti-Semitism. However, Howard reported that the documentary pretty much skips over Bob’s childhood and concentrates on stuff everyone already knows.

Artie said that since he loves the film’s director, Martin Scorsese, and Bob, he was looking forward to seeing it. He agreed with Howard, though, about the content of the film, although he did note there was some good concert footage of Bob.
