The next clip Jon played featured Howard’s recent interview with Robert Duvall, who talked about how he’s against gay marriage, as well as how he believes former Texas Governor Ann Richards should be considered as the host of the next Oscars ceremony because she’s “quick on her feet.” After playing the tape, Gary noted that some e-mailers criticized Robert’s appearance, not only because he seemed to be annoyed by Artie’s impression of him from “The Godfather,” but because he didn’t know who George Takei was. However, Gary pointed out that since Robert must encounter “The Godfather” impersonations everywhere he goes, he understood his reluctance to get into Artie’s bit, no matter how spot-on it was.
