While talking about the state of morning talk shows on terrestrial radio, Howard noted he could produce a hit show without having to be on it, because he knows what it takes to make such a broadcast successful. This led Howard to point out he didn’t understand why there weren’t better programs on regular radio, while also wondering why there wasn’t more competition created to compete with the people who already have morning shows. Howard proceeded to discuss the benefits SIRIUS offers its subscribers, including the fact that the service was not designed to satisfy advertisers, but instead to give subscribers what they wanted to hear. Howard also said he was so happy working for SIRIUS that he wanted to end his career doing his show for the company.
