Howard’s dad called in claiming he didn’t realize that Howard had told his mother he had gotten engaged, and added she didn’t tell him until after 8 p.m. Ben then said he decided not to call Howard to congratulate him because he thought he’d be sleeping at that hour, but gave his support this morning. Ben went on to say he loved Beth, and reported he felt “very comfortable and good” about their relationship.
