GOODBYE, MERV

GOODBYE, MERV

August 13, 2007
Howard welcomed everyone back from vacation and mourned the loss of Merv Griffin. Howard said that he once ran into Merv’s son Tony, but Tony took the opportunity to yell at him for frequently questioning Merv’s sexuality. Gary came in to note that Howard had even played an overly gay Merv Griffin during a bit on the old Channel 9 show. Gary added that Merv also wrote the “Jeopardy” theme song, and when he sold Jeopardy for $250 million, he was smart enough to retain the rights to the theme.
