Papa Lange’s Shady Past

Howard was surprised by some of the revelations in Artie’s Playboy article, particularly a part about his dad’s criminal past. Artie explained that his dad had some “friends in Newark” who he used to “do some work” for, but Artie’s mom managed to “straighten him out.” Artie added that when his father was paralyzed, his family learned that he had even stolen the ladder he fell off – which prevented them from suing the ladder company.
