Oh, That Sister

Howard told a story about once catching sight of his sister, Ellen, as she danced ballet in her room – naked. Robin wondered why that was the only story Howard could ever remember about Ellen, so Howard explained that when he was growing up, he wanted all the attention and Ellen wanted none of it. Accordingly, Ellen faded into the background of his childhood memories, sometimes disappearing from them altogether. In an effort to re-introduce Ellen into his childhood memories, Howard reminisced about spying on her and her goyim boyfriend for his mother, but that memory led to another – about convincing his mother who hated violent movies, to see “Dirty Harry” by telling her it was about “two young people who fall in love.” Robin then laughed that Howard’s second story didn’t involve Ellen at all.
