Dee Snider Says It’s Hard to Stay on Top

Howard and Artie discussed how difficult it was to maintain a Chris Rock-level of stand-up comedy, and how that difficulty makes one want to branch out into other “easier” (and more profitable) pursuits. Dee Snider called in to agree, saying it’s impossible to write hit-after-hit-after-hit – success robs you of the ability to write the next teen-angst anthem. Howard then told Dee that he loved his performance on CMT’s “Gone Country”; “especially the part where [Bobby Brown] almost pees on you.”
