Howard ranted about the ups and downs of “American Idol,” starting with the weird tattoos adorning Carly Smithson (and her boyfriend’s face). Howard said his favorite parts were “the hot chick who sings country songs” and Simon’s assessment of the loser contestants: “I love when he tells them, ‘You suck.’ I wait for that moment when he tells them, ‘You blow.’
