Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling stopped by to promote the 75th episode of “The Joke Hunt,” and Fred laughed that Jackie’s hand felt leathery. Jackie replied that he had just turned 60, so it was possible that he had leathery hands. Howard asked if Jackie could still get it up at his age, and Jackie responded by showing Howard his keychain, which doubles as a flashlight and Viagra carrying case. Jackie noted that Viagra wasn’t the only drug he’s been using: “I smoke more pot than Jerry Garcia.”

Even His Career Is A Joke

Howard laughed that Jackie had to go to his ex-wife (and her new boyfriend) to fund his new project, a TV game show, and Jackie admitted it – and then quickly transitioned into a joke. Howard asked if Jackie was still making money at his stand-up gigs, so Jackie joked he was making more than Artie. Howard told Jackie what Artie has made as much as $75,000 for a gig, but Jackie just responded by muttering under his breath. Howard wondered if Jackie had turned down any projects this year, and Jackie claimed he had – so Howard demanded proof. Jackie wouldn’t (or couldn’t) name anything. Howard played a few clips from Jackie’s recent projects like “The Wicked” and “Pikers.” Howard then plugged Jackie’s “Joke Hunt” and thanked him for stopping by.
