Howard got Mike Gilbert on the line to discuss his new book, “How I Helped O.J. Get Away with Murder.” After some confusion with his phone connection, Mike alleged that O.J. had confessed several things to him while they worked together; he murdered Nicole Brown Simpson, used her own knife to do it and stopped taking his arthritis medication to make his hands swell so that the infamous bloody glove wouldn’t fit. Mike laughed that O.J. was so opportunistic, he signed autographs in jail (from as early as two weeks after the murders up until the night before the verdict) because he knew autographs signed (and dated) from his jail cell would be worth more. Robin wondered what made Mike finally decide that O.J. wasn’t a good guy, and Mike cited the way O.J. treated his daughter Sidney (who annoys O.J. by being too much like her mother).
