The Pizza Connection’s ‘Free John Gotti’

Howard played a song called “Free John Gotti” by Sal’s old band, the Pizza Connection. Sal came in to dismiss the song’s message (“I think that when I was young I was a little naive.”), explaining that his dad was an “old-school Sicilian” who used to play cards with “those guys” and was a big Gotti supporter: “He was like Jesus Christ in our house.”

Sal laughed that his dad thought this song was going to make them all rich.
