Eric the Midget called in to suggest that Weird Al Yankovic replace Simon Cowell on the next season of ‘American Idol,’ leading Howard to joke: “I never thought of Weird Al Yankovic as the solution to any problem.”
Eric said Simon would be missed: “He’s the person who got the whole show started. Besides Nigel. And the other Simon.”
