Howard Says ‘American Idol’ Talk Is Not a Negotiation Strategy

Howard addressed a few emailers’ claim that he has ‘sold-out’ by entertaining the idea of being an ‘American Idol’ judge: “Of course it’s a sell-out. It’s a dumb karaoke contest concept…I don’t give a shit about ‘American Idol’ [but] it would be a fun gig.”

Howard also said he wasn’t trying to use the speculation to negotiate with SiriusXM CEO Mel Karmazin: “He knows exactly what I’m worth to him. There’s no negotiating.”
