Howard said he often worried about Ralph's future: "He's almost 50 years old, Ralph. He's not a kid anymore...what am I good for, another five years? He's got to come up with some kind of game plan. Something to do when I'm gone."
Ralph called in to insist he'd be fine, but Howard doubted it: "You have free time! You should be developing something."
Ralph thought Howard's concern was empty: "That sounds insincere to me...things come up and you don't support me and they don't go anywhere."
Howard fumed: "I don't support you?! Leave me alone! Can you believe what you just heard?" Ralph joked that he did have a plan: "I'm working on a book. And I want you to write a foreword."
Howard dismissed him: "I'm out of the Ralph business."
