Howard said he was growing frustrated with his latest hobby, photography: “Don’t start. Save yourself the time.” Not only is the learning curve a long struggle, but his subjects are rarely cooperative: “The dog is a shitty subject. Because she–whenever I get down on the ground to shoot her–she comes over and starts licking me.” Howard said Beth wasn’t much easier, but he has managed to snap thousands of images of their cat, Walter.
